  • Maya fluids rendered faster?

There is any trick to render faster Maya fluids? Any Vray special material with that purpose or something? (Because Vray is taking the own parameters of the fluid to get the final render, isn't it?

Im working with something similar to dry ice, so there is a volumetric mist effect.

Or the quickest way would be render Maya fluids with maya render engine, and then compositing?

Add the V-Ray fluid attributes to the fluid node and try increasing the "step size".

Ok, appears a good starting point. I didn't realize about extra attributes for fluids.

Seriously, give support and answer questions a Saturday night fifteen minutes after post is absolutetly priceless. You should include it in the Vray features list, even as a highlighted one. "Instantaneous support 24/7". It never ceases to amaze me.

I don't know if you are already using it but installing phoenix FD in order to use its shader to render the native maya fluids is just way faster !
        I guess about 10x.
