  • Should I be using gammaCorrect nodes on lights?

    Hi,

When I use linear workflow tickbox, it obviously takes care of textures to VRayMtl and some other areas too.

But I notice my lights are never strong coloured. If I put my lights to 3200Kelvins, should I sample that colour from the swatch and then apply a gamma correct for render?

Or does the "linear workflow" tickbox take care of this for me?

I know this has been asked 1000 times before (but usually the question pertains to materials, never lights).

No, you should never gamma-correct lights, especially not when you use the temperature mode.

    Best regards,

Thanks Vlado for clearing up my confusion on such a question.
