Upgrade from v2 to v3, license compatibility

Hi,

We currently use the Nightly build that was made available one year ago :
V-Ray for Maya version 2.25.01, revision 23639 from Sep 24 2013
V-Ray: V-Ray core version is 2.00.02


We are going to upgrade to v3.0 soon, our reseller tells us he will provide a license that works for our current v2.x for 6 months, along with v3.0

I would like to be sure that the v2 build that we use will work with that temporary licence.
(because I have heard stuff about special build that we would have to install to make it compatible, but we would like to avoid that)

The 6 months evaluation 2.x license which will be provided with the upgrade to 3.x will work with every V-Ray 2.x build which requires 2.x license.

I have one more question :

-WIBUKEY has been installed on october 2010.

-The license server (vrlservice) has been installed on June 2011, and displays this :
Server ID: ver. 2.0, protocol ver. 5

Does WIBUKEY or vrlservice needs to be reinstalled with a newer version, before I can use a VRay 3 license ?

V-Ray 3.x come with a new version of the License Server which requires updated Wibukey drivers installed.
You should update both V-Ray License Server and Wibu-drivers in order to use V-Ray 3.x license.

The new version of the License Server comes with the V-Ray installation.

We recommend to install both of them from the V-Ray 3 installation archive. You will be able to use V-Ray 2.x even if you update them.
