  • Maya and non-Vray shaders : Lambert

I know in Vray for max, it's a big no-no to use any shader other than a VRay shader.
Does this also apply in Maya? eg does using lambert materials cause any issues to either quality or performance?

No, this does not apply to Maya. Everything is translated to native V-Ray shaders anyways. The Lambert shader is translated to a V-Ray diffuse BRDF shader, so it's ok to use it.
