  • Diffuse texture becomes dark?

    Hello, I'm using substance designer to make some materials. Everything gets written out fine, eg diffuse, roughness, normal etc the issue I'm having is my diffuse looks a lot darker than it should? For instance my beach wood texture comes out looking dark brown.

    I understand gamma and its effect, I know that coming out of substance all maps are linear except the diffuse. So the input gamma on the textures have been set accordingly.

    Whats strange is that if I make a surface shader and assign the diffuse to that it's exactly how it should be. Just not with VrayMtl?

    Any ideas?

    Can you post some screenshots of your textures, how should they look and how they look?
    In what format are they?
