I doubt someone is still using Snow Leopard or Lion any more, but better to ask. Since we will drop Maya 2012 in the feature releases in order to make room for Maya 2017, there is no reason to support Snow Leopard any more. The idea is to move completely the builds to Mountain Lion for all Maya versions. This will make all versions support things like CUDA for example, since Snow Leopard is drawing back a lot of features. We hit some bugs in the new OSX compiler, but we managed to work-around them, so there should be no reason to fall back to snow leopard builds any more.
