  • Catching Shadows & Reflection in Matte Objects?

    Hi there,

I'm a little rusty in Vray after using Arnold for the last few years. I am getting my head back into it but running into a few issues.

I have a typical vehicle setup where I am catching the shadows of the vehicle in the ground plane (which is a matte object) and thus reflecting them back into the vehicle. What I would like to know is, is it also possible to catch the reflection of the vehicle in the matte object ground plane as well as the shadows? If so, how?

    Thanks,

You can get a mask of the reflections only in a separate render element via V-Ray Extra Tex render element and Dirt map in Reflection occlusion mode.
    Here is an example:

Currently it's not possible to achieve that within the Wrapper node.
