  • File Name Prefix, no support for version number?

    Hey,

    I have a Maya scene called: scene.v001.ma

I want my renders to go here:
    <Scene>/<Scene>_<Layer>/<Scene>_<Layer>

But this strips off the version number, so I get:
    scene/scene_masterLayer/scene_masterLayer.1001.exr

    I would love something like
    scene.v001/scene_masterLayer/scene_masterLayer.1001.exr

Maya Software has a <Version> tag. Is something like this posible in Vray for Maya.

    Ta,

    Nick D

V-Ray also should support the <Version> tag, did you try with it?

We are running vray 2.4, so maybe it isnt support. This is all I get:
// Error: Cannot create output image file "//ALFRED/Post-3D-VFX/Shotgun/kojodev/sequences/dev001/shot001/Light/work/maya//images/tmp/scene_<Version>/scene_masterLayer/scene_masterLayer.exr": Invalid argument (22)

Ah, 2.4, I must check if this was implemented there.

I believe this was added for 3.0.
