    So we got a scene with a carpet done in xgen. With a fairly high density I might add.
    On our linux machines we get a Render Interrupted after failing to compile the geometry after a while. This also results with an exit code:0, which is a bit strange as it looks like the frame as finished on our farm, but no file has been saved. But we'll add the render interrupted as a flag, so it will fail correctly next time.

    But do you have any idea why this is not working properly on linux? It works on our windows machines. The log gives an xgen error about a vrscene created for the description I assume, but we get the same error on windows, and the render looks correct.

    I'll try to lower the density some, as I belive it will compile the geometry fine on linux then (same carpet has been rendered on linux before, but with slightly lower density).
    Here's the log for one of the linux machines if that helps. I can post a correctly working windows one too if you need that.

    I don't think this XGen error is related. It happens because XGen treats any string option as an expression and tries to evaluate it. It can't be silenced.

      Alright!
      Any ideas why it might not be able to compile the geometry properly on linux? I've lowered the density a bit now, and it seems to render fine (frames not done yet, but atleast it got to the rendering part).
      I dont think its a hardware limitation as the linux nodes are on par, or better than some of the windows ones that rendered fine.
