I am working on a live action shot and I am using the Material Wrapper on the model of the set/enviroment to catch the shadows of the CG Object.
The Render Stats of its shapenode are set to both cast and receive shadows so that the CG Object is being lit less on the bottom by the dome light which is the only lightsource.
The problem is that the selfshadowing of the enviroment model is also displayed in the Material Wrapper, but I only want the shadows cast by other objects. How can I get only those, is there a Render Element that could help me?
I was thinking of the Matte Shadow Pass. Is this a common or correct use of this AOV?
