Maya 2017 update 3

Mayas latest update is out of the door... i wondering if its save to work with it and dont update the renderfarm.?
does the farm need also update 3...

It might be better to wait for a week or so, we still need to put it through our tests to see if everything is working correctly.

Ugh, I really doubt it's better these days I have to wait until sp5-sp6 or their new update terminology to get to 5-6 iteration before their software is usable.

Maya has crashed on me over and over today. I know how hard testing must be, but seriously this is a joke. At least the menus seem to work a bit better, but that's ridiculous in itself.

Just curious what do you use mash for? I have no experience with it...

Speeking for myself, I used it on my last project for grass, trees etc. Only issue was its lack of collision detection, but that might have been sorted in the last update, but im not sure. It's a really cool tool, quite art friendly for a change

Will have to check it out some day. maya 17 is just such unstable piece of ... I can't justify using it for now, even for some better tools
