  • Splitting imported .vrscene files into separate objects

So I've been working with a lot of 3dsmax scenes with vray shaders and trying to convert them into maya scenes to be rendered with vray. But I'm not sure I'm working with them correctly.

I exported my whole max scene and chose the "export as separate objects" option. When I import the lights into the maya scene all 5 or 6 of them come in as a single geometry object. I can't really work with my lights all as a single object. Is there any way to split the lights into separate objects? It's the same when all objects are imported in one .vrscene file. Is there any way to split these up?

    Thanks!

The idea here is different, SceneManager will load the .vrscene and it will render it. It's not made to transfer objects and lights for modification purposes. You can separate the objects by: Mesh>Separate but this will create another set of objects in the scene.
