Hi,
I'm having some difficulty cleaning up this moire pattern coming up on this yellow carbon fiber material I have on a car, being lit by just a dome.
Rendering at 9k, car in frame is taking up only about 1600 x 600 pixels
Current settings-
min shading rate 6
adaptive
min 3
max 100
threshold .005
sub pixel mapping on
GI
Irradiance map
very high
min 25
max 100
Light cache 1500
-Tried all the different AA types- all they are doing is blurring it though and I don't want it to be totally soft. Too low AA and it gets worse
-Brute Force GI made moire stronger
-Min Shading rate doesn't seem to make a difference in moire
-Tried taking threshold to .001, no difference in moire
-Fudged with Filter settings in my texture maps- no change
-Enhance details had no effect
- AA is having the most noticeable affect on this but nothing is 'cleaning' it up just blurring it or making it worse.
Any ideas on what I should try? Perhaps I should just crank the AA and compromise with slightly blurry?
