  • Can light cache be used for primary bounces on an outdoor scene?

So I have a scene of some vehicles in the desert. I really need to bring down the render times. When I switch to light cache it cuts the render times down from 9 minutes a frame to three minutes a frame but the frame is big dark spots all over it and I can't seem to render in such a way that they will disappear. Is it just that there isn't enough surfaces for the rays to bounce around so some areas will reamain black while others are well lit?

    Please advise.
    Thanks!

The light cache is not meant to be used for primary bounces. The option is there for debugging purposes, but it's not useful for final renders.
