i want to try something out, that really would be cool, if i get this to work.
I try to generate UV coordinates with help of the distance utility node.
For the one coordinate it is quiet easy but i need to generate the second around the Object.
Is it may possible to sample the UV coordinates from specific objects (in this case the pipe) and use that for anoter distance utility?
A good example for this could be maybe a race track where you have a ground plane and on top the street.
Now you could generate around the street these white and red pattern but whithin the ground material.
It? s hard to explain so i hope you get it.
