  • AO render element pass renders reflection into RGB

I have an unwanted render result here with a reflective Vray plane as the ground, with an object on it. The reflective material affects all channels because I also have a material ID multimatte generating a matte in the reflection. I also then have a dirt map plugged into an extra tex to create contact shadow between the object and the ground. These all looked correct, but the comper discovered that the reflection of the object is somehow being rendered into the RGB of the AO pass. Is this expected behavior? If I set the reflective material to only affect alpha it goes away, but I also lose my reflected matte. I don't understand how the AO pass is getting the reflection, since it's set to ambient occlusion and should only be rendering the contact shadow.

It would be best if you could simplify your scene(but you could still observe the issue) and share the scene with us with some screenshots for example.

This is precisely what I tried, and posted about another bug, here:

It's totally reproducible. Try it with a simple poly sphere.
