  • Override primary visibility on a specific render element?

I know this is probably asking too much, but is there any method that would allow me to override primary visibility on just a specific render element, specifically an ExtraTex?

You can exclude objects from the ExtraTex, wouldn't that work for this case? The excluded object will appear black in the extraTex, though, but it is how it works. Other than that, we don't have a way of making one object invisible to a render element, without the object removing the color from that render element.

Yes, that's the only setup I've been able to come up with. But I need to get a clean, unmatted ground occlusion pass without the shadow casting object creating a holdout. It seems like primary visibility is the only way to generate this.

I can't come up with any other solution than doing a separate render for that.
