Initially, ALSurface was implemented in V-Ray for rendering skin. As skin doesn't have some of the properties that other metallic materials have, the anisotropy is not part of the V-Ray implementation.
Could you share more details on why do you need it in the ALSurface shader? What effects do you want to render with ALSurface that require anisotropy? This could help us when considering future improvements to the shader.

I'm missing this feature too.
I'm currently working on a fish, I find alsurface sss great for this job, but I'd love to be able to add anisotropy to the fishscales.
So I'm using a blend mtl that tends to come over the alsurface, not to mention the impact on speed.
I could use shellac mode, but it's bad...
