  • Loading vrimg renders back into VFB problem

    Hi,

The idea of loading vrimg renders + elements back into the VFB for doing patching small areas makes perfect sense but whenever I try to do it before the rendering begins the VFB clears its self and goes black.

I have 'Clear Frame Buffers' unticked in the render settings but it does not seem to be working as it should.

Is there something else that I am missing?

    Thanks

This should work as long as you're rendering in the same resolution as the loaded image.

Yeah, exactly the same resolution, render elements and render settings, but every time I try, the frame buffer always clears before beginning rendering.

OK, that's not supposed to happen. Can you tell me the Maya and V-Ray versions, maybe info about the OS would help too.

          I believe we're on V-Ray for Maya version 3.60.03 and Maya 2016 SP6

          Thanks

Hmm, it works fine for me. Both when loading from history and when browse-loading a vrimg to the VFB.
Can you describe your steps in detail, or even better - make a screen-captured video. There might be something I'm missing.
