  • Material's alpha/opacity creating holes in objects behind it

Hey all, I've got a problem where the alpha/opacity of a plant's leaves (alpha cards) are affecting all layers behind it, so it creates holes in the rendered image. I've attached a sample pic, and in the alpha channel you can see where these holes are created in each group of leaves.

Any ideas what could be causing this/how to fix it? I'm stumped as to why the alpha channel of one object would punch holes in everything behind it.

Its not really a bug. Its sort of performance optimization. To solve this you must increase max transparency levels in the render globals, its set to 50 by default so when a ray reaches that depth it's terminated. If you set it to like 250 or something high it should not show any more holes in the alpha.
