Vray Render Elements Enabling and Disabling

I am currently using the new Maya 2018 Render Setup and finding it difficult to create overrides to enable and disable Render Elements. Before with the Legacy Render Layers, we were able to create overrides to the render elements per render layer easily by just pressing the Y/N button that's next to the Added render Element. This function is not working anymore and instead, I have to go to each render elements attributes and create the override there which is quite annoying and time-consuming. Does anyone know a workaround?

Old render layering system is still available so if you prefer using it, you may set it up as a default one from the preferences:
