  • Inherit colour to nparticle

    Hi folks.

I'm trying to get my nparticles to inherit the base colour of the emitter (which is just a ramp mapped to a sphere)
I have added the RGB PP in the Per Particle Attributes.
On the emitter- I've turned on inherit color (assigning the sphere texture).

But still not getting a result.
What expression should be in the RGB PP slot?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hey stezza!

Is your emitter type "Surface" ?

Did you assgin "Out Color" of your Ramp to the Particle Color Input(it doesn't work if its VRayMaterial for example) ?

Set your Particle render type to sphere, sometimes the color is hard to see as points.

You don't need an expression for RGP PP if you inherit the color from the emitter.

Maybe you can share a scene ?

    Kind Regards
    Pirmin

I just added "Add Dynamic Attributes" -> "Color" -> "Add Per Particle Attribute" the RGB PP attribute and it worked.
