  • Environmental fog not excluding light? Vray Next hotfix 1

    Hey,

I can't seem to exclude lights from Environmental Fog. Is it working as intended or am I just missing something?

Tried using a using a container with opacity set to black and light linking but still not working.

I've uploaded a simple scene with two lights. If anyone could help that would be great.

    Cheers.

You need to set EnvironmentFog mode to Override Shapes Light (https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...mentFog-Common). Also, make sure to exclude one of the lights from the EnvironmentFog set to see the effect.

I have the same issue. The only way I've been able to get this to work is to setup the environment fog in a container, set the mode to any of the options BUT Override Shape Lights and then exclude a light from the container, toggling excluding from the EnvironmentFog set makes no difference. The problem is I'd like to use this on GPU when the EnvironmentFog is used as an environment volume override so excluding from a container isn't an option. Any thoughts?
