  • Vray Next RT/IPR Plablast corrupted (maya 2015.5)

    Hi,
when I try to playblast with vray RT/IPR the result looks like a messed up encoding. I tried all kinds of different setting but even playblasting to an image file gives me a corrupted result.
before playblast starts there´s following warning: // Warning: V-Ray playblast would run indefinitely with these RT/IPR settings. Falling back to Low settings. //
    Maya 2015.5
    Windows 10, GTX 1080
    V-Ray: V-Ray Next for Maya, hotfix 1 version 4.04.02.00010 from Nov 20 2018, 12:25:15
    V-Ray: V-Ray core version is 4.04.02

Anyone else has seen this issue?

Does it work correctly if you run the playblast with Viewport 2.0 (without V-Ray)?
Could you also send us a screenshot of your render settings > IPR tab with all rollouts open?

Does it come out OK if you save to another format? Or save to an image sequence? Does the render look OK while the playblast is running (as if it is - this might be a file encoding issue).

i tried image (jpg), avi and qt with different encoding settings. the screen looks fine during playblast, so I´m 99% sure it´s an encoding issue. I could do a test on another win 7 machine to see if that is working or if it´s the same issue. I´ll let you know what I find.

Win7 has the same result. I´ve noticed that the camera view (IPR viewport) looks good but doesn´t update in time (stays on the first frame of animation) but in the corrupted encoding i can still see the animation moving on.

I've reproduced the problem on Maya 2015. It's probably something Maya-specific. We'll investigate it and get back to you when we have something.
