ID:	1025471 Regarding the threadripper usage, is it weird my windows 10 displays the CPU usage rarely over 50%? Is this expected feedback from windows 10 for hyperthreaded rendering? Click image for larger version Name:	Capture.JPG Views:	1 Size:	66.4 KB ID:	1025470

Hello, Windows Task Manager is not really reliable for giving correct utilization data for the CPU and GPU. Any third party software such as CPU-Z or HWINFO32/64 will be better to monitor your utilization. AMD even has a dedicated software for monitoring and tweaking your Ryzen/Threadripper CPU and that should provide the most accurate information considering its from the vendor of the CPU. The application is called AMD Ryzen Master Utility you may take a look at it and see if it will provide more accurate data for the utilization. As far as I remember for the Threadripper CPUs there are profiles in the Ryzen Master Utility for gaming and for content creation that might also help with the utilization of the cores.

Thanks waaazoo for the tip. Hight temperature is definitely a critical point for the Threadripper, especially for the new 32 core proc. It produce so much heat, that you could heat a whole flat with it.

@Sean: That looks not like it should. Did you set some limitation in the Render Settings?

Thanks Kostadin for the software tip. Seems a good tool to monitor the temperature over a period.
