  • VrayNext Playblast doesn't work

    Hello,

I really would like to use the IPR playblast on Maya2018.5 and VrayNext.
I have put the settings to minimum, but it always failes. I get the following message:

// Warning: V-Ray playblast would run indefinitely with these RT/IPR settings. Falling back to Low settings. //

    Thanks for help!

If you notice you have selected for the Playblast quality the option "Use IPR Settings". Also "Max. render time" is set to 0.000(this will tell V-Ray to sample until the "Max. paths per pixel" or "Max noise" values are reached) and because of this, each frame will be rendered almost indefinitely.

If you like to use the IPR settings for the Playblast, set an appropriate value for the "Max. render time".

      Hi,
Max Rendertime (Vray Tab) is on 1 minute.
Or is "Max Noise" (IPR Tab) the same like "render time" and not limited by max render time?
I will try to set this "Max noise" on 1...

Try setting either the Max. render time or the Max Noise in the IPR tab.

I tried both, but then it isn't rendering at all with vray, even not trying to render with vray.
Do I need to activate anything else?

// Warning: V-Ray playblast would run indefinitely with these RT/IPR settings. Falling back to Low settings. //
--> This message is just a warning that your render will run indefinitely and V-Ray is lowering the settings to prevent that.
--> This message does not prevent Playblast from running.

To run Playblast with V-Ray, you only need to run V-Ray IPR in the viewport.
Once V-Ray runs in the viewport, you can start a regular Maya Playblast and it will just use the viewport.

Here's a short video. Let me know if there's issues, it might be something else then and we'll look into it.
