We are noticing occasional "hot" pixels in images we render using a vRay rect light set to a circular shape combined with brute force GI. The hot pixels appear to be random when we render multiple frames. If we change the disc shape to a rectangle shape the hot pixels go away. We thought this was due to "nightime" lighting levels in the scene, but after brightening the light to daytime levels the hot pixels still show up.
I am attaching an annotated snapshot from a rendered image. Purple arrows have been drawn on the image to point out the hot pixels. There are only one pixel in size so you need to zoom in to see them.
We are using V-Ray Next, 4.04.02 for Maya 2018 on Windows 64.
Has anyone had similar issues using the circular shape light with brute force GI?
Thanks.
