  • EnvironmentFog and matte objects

    Hi,

I have an issue when rendering environmentFog together with matte objects, in that I get fog on top of the matte objects in both the rgb and alpha, causing problems in comp.
It seems that the affect background doesn't take matte objects into account.

I have uploaded a simple test scene to show the issue.

It's the way it works right now. Affect Background option considers Background only, Matte-object is still an object in the scene it is not a Background that's why the Fog is calculated and rendered on top of it.
I'm not sure how exactly you are trying to compose this but if you would like to have Matte-object and a Fog which doesn't affect the Matte-object the option is to render the Fog on a separate pass without Matte-object.
