  • Cryptomatte no AA behind refracted object

    Hello,

I can't have a good mask with cryptomatteAOV for the object behind another object with transmission. There is no AA on the mask.
I do a simple scene with 2 spheres in order to illustrate the problem.

    Thank,

    Ed

Hello users and devs of VRay,

Is it possible to have an feedback on this effect? I just want to know if i'm only (a mistake) or if it's a real problem.

    Thank you,

    Ed

It is a problem but we don't have a solution for now unfortunately. The Cryptomatte specification is somewhat unclear on that topic.

I also just ran into this problem - any solutions on the horizon? Multimattes for refracted stuff for now, I suppose!

We don't have a solution for the moment, I'm afraid.

Actually, can you get us a simple scene or a description of what's what in a simple case?
