  • CUDA Batch Rendering Crash

    Hello Guys,

I got some Problems with CUDA Batch Rendering.

Sometimes it renders 3 frames , sometimes 10. Looks random to me. I tried already to render it locally -> same.
I Installed the latest Nvidia Driver. no luck.

In the Attachment is the Log.

I use Maya 2018 SP6, Vray for maya 4.12.02.00001 and Phoenix FD 3.14.00.
    My nVidia Driver: 431.60
    2x GTX 1080 TI

    Any Suggestions?

I'll try to reinstall Vray and Pheonix.
Then I'll try to render the Scene without Phoenix.

    Cheers
    Tobias

I removed all Pheonix FD Container out of the Scene and tried to rerender... same Problem.

I think I might know why it crashed. But I have to test it. The Scene rendered fine over Night. The only Difference I can see is:
        1. I didn't took "folder/filname.####.exr" as File Name Prefix in the Image File Output. I took just "filname.####.exr"
        2. as Animation Mode I took "Specific Frames" with "1-5;6-10;11-15..." instead of Standart with 1-100

I don't know but that seams the only difference I can see right now. I also did a new Phoenix sim but I also tried it without any Phoenix Stuff in the Scene and it still crashed..

I try this out what I might figured out soon.

        Cheers!

I manage to reproduce the crash stripped the scene and send it to the developers for an investigation. I'll keep you posted.

This issue will be fixed in the next V-Ray for Maya release.
