  • cant get Cuda mode working - 'preparing global light manager'

    windows 10, maya 19, vray next 1.1, x4 1080tis

when I launch IPR or try to render in Cuda mode I get this error - // Error: line 1: V-Ray : Exception [module=1] : Preparing global light manager

renders just fine in CPU mode and rt works fine too.

    can anyone help?

when i first try to do a production render in CUDA it gives this error

// Warning: V-Ray : initDevices() failed. Please check that your system has compatible GPU devices installed.

Could it be a driver issue?

Running an older driver to make Redshift work, but trying to test Vray right now...

this happens even on a brand new test scene with nothing in it. i just turn engine to vray and turn on cuda and try it and i get these errors. works fine on my home computer, not on my work computer that i need it on at the moment..
