  • //ERROR V-RAY: There was a fatal error building the scene for V-RAY.

Hello Everyone. I ran into a issue when i assigned VRayHair3Mtl material to Xgen hair. I set the Preview/Output to 5.0 percent for a simple "Progressive" render once i click "Render Current Frame" and i receive this error message "//ERROR V-RAY: There was a fatal error building the scene for V-RAY". Maya shows on the lower left corner that its trying to process but stays on 0 percent. Maya is responsive and functioning after said message. Vray renders other Geometry. I need some help fellas. I hope to hear from your guys soon. THanks in advance!

More info, i created Xgen hair in the same scene of my rest of my project so i am thinking i don't have to "Export vrscene cache" since its the same scene?

I can render the hair with default material but not with VRAY material VrayHair3mtl. Just case if you guys think this is a XGEN problem.

Ha! its still bugging out! Its like Vray crashes so MAYA does IPR render window pops up. Then i just push the IPR button on the window and then VRAY reboots back up and renders it. Well its rendering but its not updating color changes on the hair.

Now i am getting this Error message "# Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2019/vray/scripts/vrayCreateCommonGlobalsTab.mel line 1545: TypeError: file C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2019\Python\lib\site-packages\maya\app\general\updateRenderableCamerasL ist.py line 22: Flag 'cameras' must be passed a boolean argument #

it seems to try and render but any edits to the hair color does not update nor it saves the image on the side bar of the saved rendered images.

Hello i am still having problems. Now i cant render my work. Vray gets stuck on "Compiling Geometry" then Maya crashes!!!. It renders without the displacement and subdivision. And now i am getting a new error message // Error: Could not obtain an interface license (-200): The ChaosGroup License Server could not be reached. I read on a previous post "Maybe you forgot to tick off the displacement map in the material itself." on this link https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...iling-geometry but this is Max not sure if this applies to Maya. Are they talking about Overrides in the render settings? This is Final render so i want displacements. Need some love fellas getting tired of having a conversation with myself.

Is it possible to send us a screenshot of the web page "http://localhost:30304/#/bundle/maya", so we can check if your license is activated and available? If you are not okay to share this information here, please send us an e-mail at "support@chaosgroup.com". Thank you.
