  • Batch Renders keep stopping after a few frames

Since updating to Next Update 2 and the new recommended Nvidia driver ( 441.28 ) I keep getting interrupted batch renders in every scene I've tried from various projects. It will render anywhere from 3-15 frames and then stop. Anyone else getting this?

It seems to be working as expected here. Does this happen only with V-Ray?

Haven't tried it with any other renderer but seems to only be happening since updating to the latest Nvidia driver + Next Update 2. I'm currently uninstalling and re-installing Maya, Nvidia Drivers, and Vray so I'll see if there's any change there.

Just reinstalled everything, and still getting the same issue. It will render anywhere from 1 - 10 frames and then I always get an out of memory error in the mayaRenderlog.txt. Got 11gb 1080tis, the particular scene I'm testing with at the moment is nowhere near that in size so something can't be right.

So I've had to roll back to Nvidia driver 419.67 and Vray update 1,1. Seems to be rendering fine now. Will have to stay on this until I finish my current project. Hopefully can get sorted in an update.

Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can try to reproduce the issue here? Also, providing the 'vray4maya_log.txt' (located in the %temp% windows folder) would be helpful along with the 'mayaRenderlog.txt'. Please mention this thread as well.

Hey Aleksandar, I logged this with support around last Friday sometime. I've included the mayaRenderlog.txt but there wasn't really any point to including a scene as its happening with every scene.

Thought I should add to this. I seem to have isolated the problem as being the recommended Nvidia driver. Rolling back to 419.67 and using the latest Vray Next has solved the issue for me. So must be something to do with the 441.28 driver
