  • VRayMesh playback speed normals bug.

    Hi,

I want to run a VRay Proxy slower than it's original speed, Which works for points but normals are not being interpolated. I've made a demo scene that highlights the issue.

Here is a video of the issue, you can see the normals update when the proxy hits an original frame.

Here is a link to the Maya file and vrmesh. - https://www.dropbox.com/s/35vv8vn3n2...lsBug.zip?dl=0

    Thanks,
    David.

Thanks for the provided scene. The reason for the strange effect is the lack of normal recalculation (normals do not get interpolated) when using .vrmeshes. You may either export the geometry as alembic and activate the 'compute normals' option or export the geometry as .vrmesh with the correct speed. We'll consider adding the 'compute normals' option with .vrmeshes as well.
