  • Clipper not excluding Foam

So i'm simulating a phoenix liquid with foam in a container. I am using V-ray clipper plain on the shell and excluding liquid+foam. The liquid is rending as expected. But the foam is getting clipped. Foam is in Fog mode and 'Use Cutter' is disabled.

    I'm on a Maya 2015

I presume you're rendering with V-Ray GPU, where cutters are not fully supported, I'm afraid. However, the issue is logged (internal bug-tracker id: PHI-3876) and waiting developer investigation. You may try rendering on the CPU as a workaround.

I should have stated i'm using CPU, GPU dos not support any foam from what i can understand. from what i have seen on forum most seam to have the inverse problem where the foam is not clipped at all.

In that case, do attach the scene here or send it to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. Mention this thread in the e-mail mentioning this thread in the e-mail along with your V-Ray version.
