    Hi,

    A couple of months ago, I mentioned this alsurface issue with specularity and distance from camera.
    I was told that the issue is reported and as a workaround to lower the "SSS Mix".
    I recently came back to a project, set the "SSS Mix" to 0.95 and noticed that the workaround wouldn't fix the problem as seen on this render test.

    It's exactly the same shader for both... The only difference is the character closer to the camera.
    Even where there is still specularity (nose, lips), you can see it's getting stronger when zooming out the camera.

    So I was wondering if there's a new update coming soon?
    Because since I mainly do characters and use V-Ray for personal projects, It's totally unusable for me having that bug.

    Hi TKIO,

    I'm afraid a fix has not yet been devised, but I'll bump the ticket additionally (internal ID number: VMAYA-9941)

    I've found the initial files you sent us and it appears that changing the SSS mix value does help the situation, however, I am not sure if the same settings are used in both projects: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...8_15-47-18.mp4

      Thank you Nikoleta! Am looking forward to getting back to V-Ray as it's much faster than the renderer I have to use right now
