can any confirm that ipr on gpu, cuda or rtx doesnt render vert colors ? Is there a workaround?

The VRayVertexColors texture is considered legacy and is not supported on the GPU with color sets (there should be a warning message in the log). The solution is the VRayUserColor texture, in the 'User attribute name' field of which you type the object's Color Set. It should work in both GPU IPR and production rendering.Last edited by hermit.crab; 07-01-2021, 08:58 AM.

Yeah, i must be doing something wrong but it doesnt work for me at all. Presumably I dont need to add the vray Attribute to the object itself?
In screenshot you can see ive added the userColor, put the name of colorSet into it. But when it renders, theres no vertcolor.(sphere on left,is with mayas lambert assigned, showing the vertColors) Do you have an example scene?

Your setup seems correct. You haven't shown the IPR/Production rendering result, however. There isn't a viewport preview at this point if that's what you mean. Attaching a sample scene.
