  • Warning about missing EXR files at render - but file path editor doesn't see missing files

    Hello,
I get some warnings about missing EXR files of several VrayLights in an old scene.

They have indeed been moved to a new known folder and need only to be found and repathed.
But Maya's file path editor doesn't see any issues.
So I need to manually go through each light and its textures and track them and repath manually.

But actually, it should be possible to get it solved by repathing.

    How to solve this better?

    Thanks

If Maya's own texture manager doesn't work, try using the File Texture Manager script.

Ignore the warning message on running it -- it works fine in any version of Maya including 2020.

P.S. This isn't a Vray issue at all, and this is a Vray forum. For general Maya questions you might want to sign up for the Google Maya group: https://groups.google.com/g/maya_he3d

Sometimes hard to tell which forum/software is the cause: The problem today only happened with Vray lights. At least in my case...

By the way, thanks, but even the script did not solve. I ended up recreating the former folder structure on my hard drive, in order to render correctly.

I'd suggest checking the list of resolved file paths and comparing it against the errors V-Ray should print for files that failed to load. This should narrow down what files are missing.
