  • VRayUVWRandomizer Displacement

    Hi all

    Just experimenting with the VRayUVWRandomizer.

Default Setting with Stochastic Tiling ON
    Works great without Displacement:

But when the VRayUVWRandomizer is plugged in to the vrayDisplacement Texture, I get the following issues:
Is there a way to smooth out the displacement lines, and for the lines not to be at 90 degrees?

I tried Tile Blending up to 0.5 and higher Displacement settings.

    Cheers

    Steve

Could you attach the scene so we can take a look? Also, which V-Ray build version are you using?

Would it be OK to direct message, as the scene uses purchased textures?

Thank you for the provided scene. It seems VRayUVWRandomizer's Tile Blending option causes the issue. However, it seems to be solved in the latest nightly build versions and I've already spoken to our development team to forward the fix to the stable builds. Sorry to say, there isn't a workaround until the fix is implemented.

Cool. Is the latest nightly build (including the fix) corwinstablestable_5.020210222?

          Cheers

I was referring to the internal nightly builds. However, it seems that I haven't been testing with the latest build and the issue is present again. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-10203) for developer analysis. Excuse my misleading.

              Cool. Thanks very much.

Would you mind posting here, once the public nightly build has the fix?

              Thanks again
