  • Maya Mash , V-Ray Bercon noise not working with Strength Map.

As in the title, I am trying to create some procedurally generate planets where I want to Noise to drive displacement of continents, water and trees distributed and all other kind of stuff.
Connecting Bercon Noise texture to Strength texture slot using either World, Distribution or Visilibity Mash node is not working at all.

Connecting native Maya noise node or ramp texture for examples is working. But Maya's noise is too simple for what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks for the report. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-10256) for developer investigation. I guess a workaround could be to blend multiple Maya noise maps to create a more complex result.

Hey hermit.crab Thank you. I actually thought this problem comes from the side of Autodesk, I hope you guys are able to resolve it soon. I will give it a try but Bercon Noise is so powerful it is pity not to use in this project
