Hi, something I ended up debugging for days until I got to this result:
I just open a scene and create a MASH network without any geo selected, set to instancer.
If I try to delete the MASH network there's no issues.
I import an alembic using the new vray proxy and if I try to delete a mash network, maya freezes. Old vray proxies don't create this issue.
There is no connection with the vray proxy and the MASH network. this happens even with empty MASH networks.
Also, seems like if I try to render a mash network when a new vray proxy is in the scene, I can't see anything, if I deleted, all objects appear again.
tried on maya 2018, 2018.7, 2020 and all have the same issue. Using vray V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 1 (v5.10.20 from Jun 15 2021)
Is this a knowin issue? There's no converter for vray meshes from new to old ones, so this is a bit of a bummer for the scenes I've already made as I have to redo all proxies.
cheers
Gianluca
