Thanks for the report. There does seem to be something the matter. I'll investigate and write back.

It seems the effect is normal and is explained here. You can bypass the effect by activating the "Specify focus" option in the VRay Physical Camera and setting a correct focus distance.

Hi Hermit! This is somehting new? Because i tested in the 2020 version and this wasnt happening?

Physical Exposure correction needs to be enabled for the effect to be visible. It is not something new, it is also present in previous V-Ray versions (NEXT, 3.6).
