  • V-Ray user attribute cryptomatte ID-type naming issue

Using the ID-type 'V-Ray user attribute' in the cryptomatte render element, the objects get named as "1.000000,0.000000,1.000000" in the cryptomatte layer, but the Fusion cryptomatte plugin splits on commas, breaking the functionality. The user attributes are set as green=1 and green=0.95 and the cryptomatte is set to look for the green attribute. Is there anything I am missing, or is there any kind of work around?

Thank you for the report. It seems to happen in Nuke as well. It seems to be caused when using decimal points for the attribute's value. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-10595) for developer investigations. A workaround would be to use whole numbers instead.

Thank you for the answer, we will move on without decimal points.
