  • mapping bump delta scale

If I try to map the bump delta scale with a float constant, the parameter doesn't work anymore. What I like to do is have similar shaders mapped with controller values, like a bump mult on a few shaders being controlled by one flaot constant value so I only change one to change many. But this seems to break the bump delta scale. If I unplug the float constant, the value works again.

    Im using Maya 2022.3
    V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 2.2
    (v5.20.02, revision 31220 from Jan 22 2022)

    Hello,

I was able to reproduce this problem when the floatConstant is attached to Bump Delta Scale of VRayMtl, so I have logged an issue into
our system for our developers to have further look into it. This is the issue ID number: (VMAYA-11061)

However, the same case seems to be working correctly when the floatConstant
is attached to Bump Delta Scale of VRayBumpMtl with VRayMtl as base material.
You can check if this current workaround is helpful for you and message us again if you meet another problem.

    Kind Regards,
    Dimitrina Milanova
