Images exported from vfb saved as 8bit despite render settings set to 16.

I'm not sure why this issue keeps cropping up, or if im doing something wrong. But, in maya my render settings are always set, for 16 bit PNG etc. When i export from the VFB, unless i use an exr they export as 8bit.

We've already discussed it here. The issue is not yet fixed, however, it's on our to-do lists.
