  • Refraction glossiness and amount not working with maps

    Hi,
    I have no luck with adding maps to refraction amount or refraction glossiness.
    The sliders work normally without maps. I tested with textures and procedurals. Refraction color works normally with any map / procedural.
    Am I missing something?

    I tested this with:
    -Maya 2020.4 and Vray 5.00.21
    -Maya 2022.3 V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 2.1

    macOS Monterey 12.2.1

    I managed to solve this now Turning up the Alpha gain in the texture node did the trick...

      Turning it up above 1.0? Ive sometimes needed to pipe my texture through a luminance node or a remap luminance to get maps to work with glossiness. Simply connecting the R of the RGB to the input didnt work.
