  • BSOD when adding vrayLightMesh in IPR

Found an interesting bug me thinks which caused a BSOD or at least an instant Maya crash.

    1. Create a sphere and torus scale the torus to sit around the sphere like Saturn.
    2. Add dome light and start IPR
    3. Apply a vrayLightMesh to the sphere.
    4. Select lightMesh and try to change the light colour in properties.
    CRASH!!

Be interesting if anyone else gets the same result.

It sounds like this is V-Ray GPU. Does the same thing happen with regular V-Ray?

Happens with either GPU or VRay set.

Its not important of course, just turn off IPR before you change the light colour.

Alright, this reproduces easily and we already have a fix internally. It will be added to the stable builds soon.

            Hi there,
There is a fix for this with stable nightly builds from the 28th of April and onwards (build number 31388 ). Feel free to grab one and see if it helps
