  • Houdini HDA and Animaiton Overrides VRayScene

Hello, we have *.hda file from Houdini with animated points for a traffic simulation. We are now wondering why the offset or animation start parameters of a vrayscene is not working with a hda file? when we take a simple key frame animation they are working? can it be that the parameters can not control a cache file within a vrayscene? It also does not work with a *.abc cache in a vrayscene file

    thanks Florian

You've exported a .hda/.abc cache (through a i.e VRayProxy) in a .vrscene, right? I tested it out with an alembic and it seems to work as expected. The VRayScene parameter controls the global animation of the exported scene (not the specific .abc/.hda files animation), though. Note that there isn't a viewport preview of the .vrscene. Could you send your alembic to investigate?
