  • Distributed rendering and UDIMs not supported?

When I try to render my current scene with UDIMs with DR to one other machine, Vray spits out a bunch of error messages like // Error: line 1: V-Ray : Cannot send asset M:/[path here] Error opening file: [PFileStream::Open] 2: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.

Does DR not work with UDIMs?

    Hi there
DR should work fine with UDIMs. Is it possible that your assets' UVs span on UV tiles for which you do not have UDIM texture files? (E.g Your asset has UVs on tiles 1011, 1012.. but you only have texture files for tiles 1001, 1002..) Is your render correct despite this error? Let me know if there's anything I can help with further.

Actually it looks like the error is nothing to do with UDIMs as it's also reporting missing file textures on parts of the scene that do not have them. The textures are there, the paths in the error messages look correct, the servers are mapped correctly and the local machine is loading them fine. So I don't know what the issue is.

Maybe it would help if you can get us (a part of) the scene to look at.

        Best regards,
