AA disabled

Setting up render layers with different render settings, the AA check box is grayed out. Is there an override that turns this off?

You mean the AA filter checkbox, right? I just tested it by simply creating an absolute variable (RMB on parameter > create absolute variable for the current layer) for the checkbox and it seems to work as expected. What do you see? Maybe attach some screencaps and optimally a scene.
